i'll admit it . . . the new, red hot chili peppers album is good.  when they do it right, it works and sounds timeless.

I guess I like the new radiohead, and it is so different, in sound, in a good way.  arty in other ways.

I discovered that phish has a lot of live material on Spotify, such as the gem of 06/27/2010, Merriweather.

also, a Spotify playlist, yes I listen to Spotify a lot, called j mascis guests, filled with songs he guest appears on.  such as ciccone youth, gumball, the lemonheads, sweet apple, t. moore, etc.

it wasn't until until midway through side 3 that i realized that i had been listening to it at 45 rpm, as i had been listening to "hail to the theif" which was probably kind of a blessing due to the length and self- indulgence (of both albums).
maybe that particular radiohead album would have sounded better (and ended earlier) at 78 rpm.

i been listening a bit to the new RHCP... i know they are a big forum favorite..

I've only heard about half... but with the danger mouse or dangermouse production it def sounds different than the chilis uusually do....

i happen to always love dangermouse's production..so this is good for me...
