Unloved - Heartbreak

I'm a fan of all the projects that David Holmes is involved in and Unloved is no different.  Several songs on this one were used in Killing Eve.  Dig this groups take on 60s pop filtered through a little shoegaze

The Specials - Encore

While I'm enjoying their long awaited return, it does feel a bit like a Fun Boy Three(Two) record with the ghosts of Rico and Dammers lurking around.  The best tracks are the spoke word ones B.L.M. and 10 Commandments with Saffiyah Khan who went viral wearing a Specials t-shirt while shouting down racists at protest.

When I was younger I found the idea of listening to multiple takes of one song continuously horrible but now I can listen to  6 takes of Perhaps or 5 of Marmaduke and enjoy it...  just wish I had the whole series of these lps and also the debennedeti box

The two cd Trojan reissue has 29 U Roy tracks versioning Treasure Isle classics and then the 29 classics on cd2....pretty fascinating

A good argument for collecting reggae on cd...you can get the original lp with like 12 tracks or pick up the comprehensive reissue with 58 songs for a fraction (although it’s out of print...)....I suppose you could get both
