Bob Marley and the Wailers- Best of the Wailers

Not a best of....Leslie Kong production from 1970....in my opinion does not work well...The same production so successful for the Maytals and Pioneers does not work for Wailers

Supposedly Bunny Wailer did not want it released and said something like May Leslie drop dead if he puts it out...Leslie put it out and promptly had a massive heart attack

Some people really like this album

From this failed experience they moved on to lee Perry...they were in trouble but with Perry had success and the rest is history

Reggae reggae dub dub dub

Listening to King Tubby meets the aggrovators at dub station (Tommy McCook)....I wonder if he was with Skatalites when I saw them at 930 with sidehatch...would love to think so

The blood and fire heavyweight 2 sampler

It is amazing how King Tubby lived in relative obscurity and there are but s handful of pictures of him...and his story has yet to be told

A true legend with an outsized influence on modern music...

When Bunny Lee goes a huge part of musical history will die with him

Dylan- Street legal

I like this one..I guess the cover foreshadowed his concern with religion

Much maligned, but one of my favorites

Hey seth...this seems like a natural 'surprise at the club show'
I'd pay $250 for that ticket... I think $250k will make Mr. Smith happy

That would be a great comment for your 1000th post
choose wisely
