That movie is horrible

What they did to Jay Bennett is unforgivable

I am sure Jay had his moments of being a douche but to frame the movie around that and make it about firing him

Who does that?

It’s fine if Tweedy wanted to get rid of him but to intentionally include scenes that cast Jay in an unflattering light, fire the guy and then put it out..totally classless dick move...that was some cold ass shit way to treat a guy who worked his ass off for Wilco for many years...

And I like Wilco and Tweedy (the bio is great)

But come on...if you don’t get uncomfortable watching that I don’t know what to tell you

I mean basically the movie has two very simple plot lines

1. Band moves on from Jay
2. Band plays record labels

It’s tough to see how one can separate the movie from 1

^ I squirmed a lot watching that. He made them interesting. They didn't really need the air all that dirty laundry. Hate to admit it but they've been boring the s*** out of me for years. I only get interested when Nels goes nuts. Even that has gotten rather predictable.

Good stuff...
but maybe I'm new to this, are the two slabs of vinyl for show and all the tracks are digital?
or do they have breaks that they can add to the mix,
or are they synced up with digital tracks so they can adjust the tempo/scratch?

it's called scratch, by serato.  the "LPs" contain time code, which is read by the needle and fed back to the software.  the speed and start position of the (digital) music is controlled by the time code on the vinyl.  moving the vinyl = change the music.  music is coming from the computer, the records are controllers.
