Michaela making a great point that it doesn’t make sense for Anthem to hold shows with 50 person limit..

Idiot caller complaining venues make money selling alcohol and aren’t doing anything to showcase local artists via live-streams

In other news HBO creates programming so people will buy a subscription to it and doesn't have public access hours where anyone can be on TV.

By the way local jazz club Twins went under In August so I guess so far we’ve lost 18th Street Lounge, Twins and that place in Columbia, MD

yes I was
Think I went to Twins in the year 2000

Was a bummer to lose HR-57 a few years back too
Hope Blues Alley weathers the storm

HR-57 was the best but I think it was a bit of a scheme were the only thing keeping it going was money from the DC government

I had many great times there and saw a ton of great Antonio Parker shows,...also Chuchito Valdes, Eric Reed, Buck Hill

Absolutely loved that place

GBV - Mirrored Aztec

Like a lot of Pollard albums everything seems to meld into one indistinct song that bores but after enough listens you want to scream that it’s the greatest classic rock album of the year

The guy is truly amazing

There's no way for this to not sound snarky, but i never make it to enough listens.
