Lorde: Solar Power
(backing vocals by Phoebe Bridgers and Clairo... also features an upskirt shot of lorde's butt)

starts folksy, ends groovy, always breathless.

Please refer to her by her full name “secret Boardie favorite, Lorde”.

So which was the biggest show Anthem ever booked: Foo Fighters, secret boardie favorite Lorde or Billie Eilish?

Honestly, it’s probably Billie Eilish if secondary market prices are used as a metric.

Yes that’s always been my view

Just curious if anyone sees it differently

All three shows were atypical

Foo Fighters cause it was a part of the whole opening over two days including the soft opening

Lords couldn’t play Verizon cause it was booked...she cracked me up all night talking about how great it was to play a small club!

And Billie Eillish blew up after tickets went on sale...saw some people get burned who bought tickets on secondary market...some heartbreak

The Foos play DC so often, I wouldn’t even put them in the top three. Honestly, Florence and the Machine might supplant them. Those were like $275/ticket week of.

Lizzo is another one the anthem booked right before they exploded.

NIN and Beck were pretty good gets too. Those LCD SS reunion shows right after it opened felt huge too

I’d probably rank like:

1 Billie Eilish
2 Florence and the Machine
3 Lorde/RTJ
4 Lizzo
5 Foo Fighters
6 NIN
7 LCD SS
8 Beck

Probably forgetting something big.

Didn't Lizzo open for Haim?

Kenny Chesney was a bit name show. And Kacey Musgrave a aye Anthem right before romping at the Grammys.

lets hope that Bobby Gillespie and Andrew Weatherall's Estate aren't litigious -  definite Loaded vibes here

and i'm not the only one hearing this, but there is also a Freedom 90 vibe going on as well here...

This is a good list (and I attended all but two of these)
I'd say NIN is probably #3-4 on that list
Billie is #1.  on that tour a lot of cities 'upgraded' to arenas
I don't know enough about Flo, but I guess she's been packing areans?
Is Beck packing areas anymore?

New Order seemed a pretty big, but I'm biased
Willie & Sturgil

Lizzo has played like 4 times, with once opening for Haim and two headliners when she broke big

wow, just listened to one after the other and I totally hear it
what's up with that mini-bong hit she takes in the middle?? or is that just from a frosty drink?

Referring to the Lizzo headlining shows.

So I was kind of going by the standard "did this show sell out super quickly and were secondary market tickets also super pricey week-of". I cannot speak to whether or not that was the case for either of these, so I'll cede to you on that.

I don't remember a robust secondary market for that NIN show but I may be mistaken.

I don't know enough about Flo, but I guess she's been packing areans?

F+tM sell out large amphitheaters and headline festivals regularly. My wife is a huge fan and $100 face tickets were like $250 the week of. It was legitimately hard to get into you.
Non-acoustic Beck is still a "Merriweather" type act, I think. I did put it in last place on my list, though, as I agree its probably the softest of my picks. New Order might be ahead of that.

New Order seemed a pretty big, but I'm biased
Willie & Sturgil
New Order is a good pull for towards the bottom of the list. People were definitely scrounging around for last minute entry to that one.

Willie & Sturgill, similar to Space's entries, was just not a show I am familiar enough with to say what the buzz around it was.
