while there are a few classic singles...Goats Head Soup really hits like a thud after those 5

But it has its fans who seem to like it…they claim it has a great druggy vibe.. I once dated someone who tried to convince me it was great but I wasn’t having it…

Jimmy Miller must have been seriously on heroin to produce this turd and the band promptly shitcanned him

Heartbreaker Also hits a lot of sweet spots (that intro! The keys and the wha-wha)

So some might put it on a pedestal just because of those

Well it’s got some good songs but that a great album does not make. You can listen to both of those - Angie and Hesrtbreaker- on a Stones compilation (rewind)


On the other hand I love the underrated Black and blue (oh vinyl pressing smokes! Almost a reference disc)….not burnt out on it like Angie
