So good. Picked up from that record store on Capitol Hill.

Seems to be a legit reissue from 2024.

Yeah! It’s amazing for reggae or DC music. And the prices are reasonable.

The reggae stuff they had blew me away.

I'm a sucker for any band with a wacky/screwball name so of course I'm going to checkout

 fuck yeah, dinosaurs!

if you are into Skate Punk with songs about dinosaurs, beer, and more dinosaurs then this band hailing from Pittsburgh is for you!

always a good sign 11 songs in 22 minutes..

The JAMC is a slightly better JAMC album than Songs from lost world is a Cure album.

It’s just that nobody wanted a new JAMC album.

Nick Cave has the biggest winning streak going…closing in on FIFTY years now. Just insane. Makes me think he sold his soul to the devil or something….

Tom Petty did pretty good too…about 40 years…never lost his ability to write a winsome melody….they are almost contemporaries…how odd…

I think what also makes Nick distinctive is that his fanbase continues to grow gradually never becoming mass popular and people don’t necessarily know all the stuff that he did before. They just know the stuff from where they came in. And because of his appearance with the dyed surely fake jet black hair he just looks so much younger than he is…. I don’t think most people realize he is nearly 70! Again, sold his soul to the devil.

I was listening to Wild God again this morning

I agree, TP is close to one of the few artists after a few decades can still put out great work
although Petty goes from 76- to the late 90s putting out good stuff
but can't say anything he did the last 20 years was that great
Cave has him beat on that

I think even absolute geniuses like Bowie or Prince, both had a decade or so of amazing work, but the second half of their careers produced very free memorable pieces

His output really tanked after he died in 2017.
