Definitely dodgy… there must be a whole series of those Decca compilations and who ever runs that bandcamp page buys one on CD uploads it and then flogs the CD.  Surprised UME is allowing that to be bought as a digital download that way

Sleep Token - Even In Arcadia

on my second listen.  will be very high up, if not at the top, of my album of the year list (not that i usually make one...).  hasn't grabbed me like their previous album has, but that took a while so TBD with this new one. 

objectively, it's more of the same - not gonna convert anyone, but amazing if their music works for you.  the faithful are collectively losing their shit over these 10 tracks.  it's been out for about 12 hours and already climbing the charts (currently #5 on apple music albums chart, expect it to be #1 or #2 next week on spotify).

Dizzy still - it’s late 1956-blows with a lot of the bebop fire here with some up and comers….


There sure are a lot of boring Dizzy albums but this is in the top 5.

80s free jazz.

Been finding some stuff at the thrifts last few weeks.

A great and odd hodge podge release. The last Soda Stereo album. First seven tracks from MTV unplugged including a revamped version of En La ciudad de la furia with Andrea Echeverry from Aterciopelados which turns the song into Pink Floyd, a rare b side (Un misil en mi placard), a version of Te Para Tres with a Spinetta coda cribbed from an Artaud song, and five leftover studio tracks from the sessions for their 1995, and final, album tacked on at end. Planeador, in particular, is a classic.

Subsequently this MTV unplugged album would be rereleased with all the MTV tracks and without the Sueno Stereo outtakes. Both versions are absolutely essential.

Am not exaggerating. Those who know KNOW
