That place was dope…I lived close by and went all the time…they had good curated selection

Finally found this cd for the right price. Interesting…1920s versions of Roxy/Ferry…instrumental though…a lot of Ellington trumpet growl (was it Bubby Miller? Bubsy? I forget)

beside the the PE it's a great day at the HQ for new music listening

Adrian Quesada - Boleros Psicodélicos II

totally enjoy how Adrian with these records transports one to a  smoked filled bar somewhere in Latin America and listening to singer wearing their heart on their sleeve..

can't track down this down for sure, but it sounds like the musicians on this record could be the group he assembled for the first Boleros Psicodélicos shows

given the fuckery being handled down by our overlords it's a good think there is a new  Durand Jones & The Indications album "Flowers" to listen to.  this one feels like a great album for a lazy Sunday lots of lush soul tracks with great arrangements and Aaron and Durand share the lead vocals across the album.
