Def Leppard - Pyromania

My 14-year old self thanks me.

That was the album that was playing at a party the first time I ever got drunk and made myself famous at my high school for all the wrong reasons.

Nah.

I declared my lust for a girl named S at the party in a slightly bold but not harassing manner. But my words were slurred so badly that "S" came out sounding like the nickname of one of the few fat boys in my high school.

So for weeks and perhaps months people asked me if I still wanted to fuck the fat boy. (I didn't.)

I hadn't heard thought about that in 40 years, but Google tells me that S is a staunch liberal. Do good for her.

I did very briefly ponder given Olivia doing Fontaines DC in Dublin what she could do a Glastonbury and here’s the answer

A duet with Robert Smith on “Friday, I’m in love” and “Just Like Heaven”

This album still really holds some weight and doesn't sound dated at all
I was fascinated to find out
Instead of writing music, they all improvised individually, rarely collaborating with each other. Connelly compared it to exquisite corpse, a Surrealist technique in which an artistic work is created collaboratively without any of the participants having knowledge of the others' contribution. Rieflin cited "So What" as the only track to feature two musicians in the studio at the same time.

to me the album sounds so tight and they are firing on all cylinders, but I guess talented people know how to present that

this is an album too.  It's needs to be listened in order from start to finish.  loud

A screaming headache on the promised age

I got this white label promo many years ago and finally listening to it. It’s really scratched up so am curious to see how it plays. I have an original stock copy in fantastic shape I got many years ago from Joe’s Record Paradise for $7.99 and that’s been my go to…This was before Joe’s moved to Georgia Avenue.

I been kind of obsessed with this album lately….

Marsha Gee - Peanut Duck

Is it as some suggest the most mysterious pop song in history that was included by Rhino on the girl group collection

youtu.be/8ASWSQPE250

it was an found as an unreleased acetate ended up in the hands of Northern Soul DJs became a hit in the scene and eventually bootlegged.

the mystery comes in that the singers name was made up for the bootleg and the actually singer has never been identified.

https://faroutmagazine.co.uk/peanut-duck-mysterious-pop-song/

as pointed it really goes of the rails at 2:00 minute mark, so flap your wings and have a quacking good time
