I think it is a decent comparison in some parts - definitely some similar sounds in the instrumentation.  There are some big divides, but definitely some similarities.

I can see how this comparison would be made, but I still think both albums have very different sounds that make each one their own. "Last Night on Earth" sounds like something off Hail To The Thief than In Rainbows.
