Those of us looking forward to the upcoming Liars tour, which is set to begin this Friday, January 25, may be in store for some major disappointment. It seems that the band's super-tall frontman Angus Andrew seriously injured his back last weekend while bending down to pick up a couch pillow. "A seismic bolt tore through the fabric of [Andrew's] lower back rendering him immobile on the living room floor," the band wrote on their MySpace blog. They went on to relate a touching, but frankly sort of disgusting, story about how percussionist Julian Gross helped Andrew to urinate in "a large soda cup" while guitarist Aaron Hemphill "sped to Rite-Aid for drugs and heat packs." With only three days to go before the tour kicks off, the band has yet to make an announcement as to whether the show will go on as planned.
