It's toughter than you think. Weddings are a dime a dozen and trips to Hawaii cna be accomodated very easily on the west coast.

Seeing United live?  That has eluded me for so long now that I'm beginning to think that I'm cursed.

We moved to CA last year a week after the LA game and the day before the Philly Game.

I've only lived in London over the summer (off season) and 2 of my three trips during the season were on International Duty weekends or FA cup weeekend when ticket allocation was ridiculous.

I've seen the English national team play 3 times, the Irish National team 4 times and have never seen United live (though I have been to Old Trafford just to walk on the Holy Grounds).  Hell, I've even seen a World Cup Final and not seen United play live.

 It's a conspiracy!

I bet you'd trade all those for one United game...right?

Did I mention my sisters boyfriends brother has a box at Old Trafford? Never been in it though, but what till we move over, Ror's and his dad will be taking the Ferry over every other weekend....

You're damn right I'd trade them all.

And why haven't you convinced your sister to marry this guy - sounds like he's got his shit together!

And I will be calling you next time we're both in Europe during the season.  Like the first time I saw the Irish play at south bend, I will cry at Old Trafford.

I want her to marry the b/f's brother who has the box...not the b/f. Not too hopeful on that one though. You wouldn't believe how this bloke made his fortune to be able to afford a vip box.....racing pigeons!!! I kid you not, he breeds championship racing pigeons.

I will make you a guest of honor if you come over during the season, and I bet we don't say "*uck it, let's stay in the boozer"  :D

I missed that boyfriends brother part.  I tmust have been the excitement of having an "in" at Old Trafford.  And you're absolutely right - we will not stay in the boozer!

Pigeons?  Racing Pigeons?  I drop $100K in to my head to be "educated" and this guy has a box at Old Trafford for breeding racing Pigeons.  Man, something is wrong with that, and I'm certain its the way I did it!

BTW, my "World Cup 2006 Fund" is in its 5th month of maturation.  If I can keep smackette from invading the princicpal, I'll see you in Germany too.
