hmmm... wonder how many shows it would take GBV to try this one.

 Pearl Jam
 With Special Guest Sleater-Kinney
 At the Tweeter Center
 Friday, July 11, 2003

Boston –  In order to accomplish their goal of performing their entire current repertoire over the course of the three Boston shows while not repeating a single song , Pearl Jam will play an extra one hour set at 6:30 p.m. before Sleater-Kinney takes the stage.

Holy shit.  It may sound gimmicky, but damn that is cool.  With Sleater-Kinney no less.  Holy, holy shit.  They *really* love their fans.

I can't wait until Monday night.
It's the last show of the US tour & if it's anything like the State College show that closed the first leg, it's gonna be legendary.

I think Pearl Jam is past gimmicky at this point.   I wish i liked Pearl Jam or could Sonic Youth do that.....that might take them 6 shows.

I don't love Pearl Jam, but in concert you can't  help but love 'em.  (I got free tickets to the Nissan show, my first that wasn't part of a larger festival -- i.e., Tibetan Freedom concert).  They truly are amazing.

I personally would like to see Bob Mould play everything he's ever put out on his own or with Sugar.  THAT would kick ass.

That's bitchen.  They could just play "Release" for that hour and I wouldn't mind.

I hear ya Bags...something tells me that most of Bob's catalog is dead and buried.  For whatever reason, his solo acoustic gigs have gotten VERY predictable.  Always opens with "Wishing Well" and then then "Hoover Dam", "Your Favorite Thing", "See A Little Light", maybe "Too Far Down" or "I Apologize" thrown in.  Not that I don't enjoy those songs, but what I wouldn't give to hear something like "Changes", "Believe What You're Saying" or "Helpless".  But he's sticking to the ones that he knows all the words to and the ones he won't screw up playing.  Sigh.

Interesting clarification from one of the Pearl jam engineer's girlfriend:

"They are playing the songs from their CURRENT repetoire, not from every record.  "

So bunnyman, for Mould I guess that would include just the songs you've seen again and again!
