 its odd, moments of brilliance, and moments that are rather arythmical and atonal. Still the absurdists lyrics really give it a lift.

I was disappointed on first listen, but I was not really listening that closely.

At least I could get all the way through it. It was a bit easy listening according to Lulu at the end. "the coral lite TM".

I posted in Mogwai as you posted this.  I think the first Decemberists album has more clear high points to me, 7 out of the 10 songs are really good, nothing jumped out at me like track 8 on the first album although the Chimbley Sweep sounded pretty good if I remember correctly.

I didnt hear a song as good as the architect song either. But as you know, everything always takes me a couple of listens.
 
 just to lay with you, there is nothing that I wouldnt do, 'cept lay my rifle down..........

I really dig these guys.They played some dates with SOOL awhile back but passed on the DC date to go to toronto and headline instead I believe.

I bought that one for $1 and sold it for $5. a 500% profit for me.

My wife hated it and made me sell it.
 
 Actually, I like them in small doses, on the radio. But after a couple of songs, it starts to grate.
