now, i've only seen them in dc, and will surely be there when they play nine thirty in october!  has anybody seen them at other venues in other towns?  the nine thirty shows i've seen by them frocking rick, and wanted to know if everything they do is boognishly awesome . . . like that chicago show they put on dvd.  god, that racked the line, too!

and shinola volume 1. was sort of a disappointment.  sorry deaner and gene.  and here i thought "painting the town brown" was the worst you could do.

Seen them abouts in Allentown and Towson and several times in Philly over the years.  Somehow never in DC.  They pretty much always rock.  The jamming has been expanded with every tour.  They seem to go off with jam sessions quite a bit - although I guess I  haven't seen them for a few years so I'm not sure if thats still the deal.   And the size of the band increases and decreases over the years.  But yes, no doubt, they rock, goddamnit.  Why do they always come to DC on weekdays?!?!
Didnt buy Shinola but yea, I've heard nothing good.  "Painting the Town Brown" sucks ass - I hate those compilation live CDs.  I need something that takes me away to the full concert experience while my headphones are on and I'm doing whatever dull-ass activity in my life that requires IPod rocking.  I dont know why they cant capture their live thing on tape.
