Well, The Child Ballads are ex members of Johnathan Fire Eater.  JFE were a great band that ended up with some hype but didn't go anywhere.  So I might go to check out them.  Don't know about Gist though.

Yes, the Walkmen have 3 members of Jonathan Fire Eater.  Was anyone else on this board into JFE?  I saw a great 4th of July show a few years ago at the old Black Cat.
