Reminiscing about The Cure
« on: August 09, 2005, 10:32:00 am »
We couldnā??t get closer than this!

 LOVECATS!

 Back in 1978 Robert Smith gathered a few friends together to start it all off and we are still celebrating his distinctive wavering singing style today. This night holds a special place for both DJ Medusa and myself, it was back in 1996 that we both started DJing together at a Cure tribute night, then we played two or three Cure songs an hour, but this Friday we will be featuring the music of Robert Smith and the Cure all night long!

 5 Ā½ hours of bliss!

 Friday August 12th!
 LOVECATS!
 @Zucchabar
 1841 Columbia Road NW
 Washington DC

 9 p.m. ā?? 2:30 a.m.

 Come and drink like the legendary songwriter himself with OPEN BAR from 9-10 p.m.! Thatā??s free booze for the uninitiated!

 $6 Cover - 21+

 FREE entry from 9 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. if you are on the email list!

 Please foward this message to everyone that you might think would be interested! Or even better, just bring them along on Friday!   :D

 Hope to see you there!

Is it....'The Cure' or just 'Cure'? A bit like the old 'Doves' thing really isn't it?

Don't forget the Glove.Glove was a one-off neo-psychedelic side project consisting of the Cure's Robert Smith, Siouxsie & the Banshees' bassist Steve Severin, and vocalist Landray. They released one album in 1983, Blue Sunshine.
