Vote for change to get rid of Bush? If so, good for them, wouldn´t see them live, but I respect all these initiatives. However, I tend to think that given how patriotic and conservative most Americans are (and all the moral crap Bush was supposed to bring to the White House, although he actually did the exact opposite), the more left wing americans or people from other countries criticize Bush and company, the more supportive of Bush the regular american gets. Actually, I don´t know how the US can vote for a change, just saw that the polls give him a 7 point advantage.

I would submit that one could be patriotic without being conservative. I'm sure that some consider Michael Moore patriotic...

They had me with Animal, but sealed it with a cover of X's "New World" with Tim Robbins on guest vocals.  Felt a bit old when I realized that I was the only one around me singing along.
 
 Definitely the most fun Pearl Jam show I've ever seen.  The band was loose and having fun playing as evidenced by the numerous covers the band played. Eddie was in great spirits, not as glum and grouchy as he's been in the past.  You could say he was very motivated      
 
 The John Lennon cover was excellent they changed "Money for Dope" to "Money for Oil".  A very biting song which rings as true today as when John first penned it.  Generation X's version is ace too..
 
 DCFC were good although they have a couple a songs I really enjoy and several ho-humers.
 
 If Grotty sees this before heading out to Toledo get there early to see Gob Roberts, who we missed because we arrived late.  It's Tim Robbin's rock band, and while put out by the faux Clash/Billy Braggness of the band.  The last song had some interesting things to say about the current administration.

 And the Reading Choir was in great voice, almost thought the roof was going blow of the arena a couple times.  Sure is nice getting to see a band not out promoting a new album and having fun cranking out the fan favorites.

I saw the show last night in Reading with Death Cab for Cutie. You have to understand that I truly love this band. They changed my life. I've travelled cross country to see them.
 
 And this was frankly the worst Pearl Jam show I've ever seen. The band themselves were in fine form, especially Mike McCready (who's looking physically healthy for the first time in about 7 years). But the setlist was putting me to sleep. It was heavy on the more recent - and lamer - material. *snore*
 
 At least Death Cab for Cutie put on a great show. I'm really looking forward to the show at the 9:30.

 This was my favorite show of the year. If I could have have made a few set list changes (add Masters of War to the acoustic set & close with Evolution) this show would be competing for my all-time best of. I've never see the band  happier or looser (my 10th time).
 
 Imagine seeing your favorite band in a venue that they've obviously outgrown (2-3X the 9:30), every person on their feet the entire time, singing every word to every song. The crowd was as engaged as I've ever seen.
 
 The surprise appearance of Neil Young was a perfect addition for me. The version of Cortez the Killer was brilliant, long and pummeling. Highlighted by Neil Young lurching around the stage & Mike McCready running circles and jumping & pogoing all around him. [The last time I saw Cortez the Killer live, it was a cover performed by all of DBT & Slobberbone...I now know that there's nothing like the real thing]

 Notes: After the acoustic encore, the crew brought three chairs to the front of the stage. Ed came out, introduced Neil and Pegi, and Neil stole the rest of the show.
 
 Ed and Pegi supplied backing vocals on Harvest Moon, and Ed also played acoustic guitar. The rest of the band came out for Watchtower, with a very extended intro. Ed and Neil traded verses on Watchtower. Mike introduced Peter Frampton after the song, and Ed remarked that this would be Peter's first time voting in America - reminding us to appreciate our voice. Ed and Pegi sang backup for Act of Love, and Ed wasn't even on the stage for the incredible performance of Cortez. He returned to sing for RITFW, but this was definitely Neil's show by now. RITFW finished with Neil and Matt playing off each other. The band left the stage just about as awestruck as the audience; Mike took some polaroids of Neil, and walked out with his arm around him.
 
 Act of Love makes a live appearance for the first time since 9/19/1998. Harvest Moon and All Along the Watchtower make their live debuts at a Pearl Jam show, while Cortez had not been played since the '95 Neil Jam tour.
