Where the hell did the Cold War Kids show come from? Never saw it listed in upcoming shows, did it just appear tonight?

If you're talking about it not being on the event schedule then you're right, it wasn't on there before thursday, well...until wednesday night at least.

I'm most likely going to go to this, but to see Tokyo Police Club mainly. Ive just started listening to the Cold War Kids album (long emusic backlog) and I'm not sure how I feel about it. I'm liking it, but the singer reminds a little too much of the Maroon 5 singer

hmm...remember when Cold War Kids played DC9 less than six months ago?
This is one indie-rock phenomenon that I really don't get at all.

i second callat703's opinion having seen the same show... it's spastic "soul" music white people can dance too, the singer has a decent voice but the band has minimal musical talent.

In Canada CWK are supporting TPC, as TPC are from Canada, ey? Has a touch of the Muse/MCR UK/USA set up. I've heard CWK called the new Fall Out Boy, which I'd don't get, but then again I was too old for FOB when they hit!

I think the comparision, which I've only seen on the Washington Post's In/Out list is more of a play on their names than anything else. . .
I'd be interested in seeing how many people attend this show. . DC9 and Black Cat Backstage shows to 9:30 . . . I dont know how that's going to work.

Aren't Andrew Bird and a number of other acts on the bill as well? Maybe it's thecollective draw of all of them together?
