True, I was in the front row...but the performance itself was near flawless. And I find it hard to believe that a band like Radiohead can sell 15,000 seats in DC, not have any proper hits (except Creep), and still get called mainstream and a suburban kid's bedroom poster band. This isn't Good Charlotte, Staind, or any of that stuff. I left the show VERY happy...I know it's difficult to enjoy a show like Radiohead in a venue like Merriweather. To all of those stuck in traffic or out on the lawn, sorry that you didn't have a better time and I realize that could deter from your enjoyment of the show...but as a fan that was really excited, I didn't have any disappointments that are worth mentioned. Yes, I'm happy, and now I can finally shut up.

I imagine the people in my office who are in their 30's and 40's who get to work between 6:30-8:00am probably go to bed pretty early too.

I thought the point was that shows at the 9:30 or Iota typically end at 11:30-12:00 on weeknight. If the headliner doesn't go on at the Black Cat until 11:30, even if they're on time, it doesn't help out the notion of getting to bed at a decent time... Are you 35? Or 65? [/b][/b]

I think it's Black Cat and Velvet Lounge that start the shows too late. They probably figure all of the record store clerk hipsters that go the shows there don't have to get up early anyway. The Black Cat is fairly good about keeping on schedule, nowhere near as bad as Velvet Lounge. Nobody at the Velvet Lounge ever knows what time bands are playing or even which band is headlining. There really isn't a schedule at the Velvet Lounge. [/b]
