You can download content from apple. It will work seemlessly like the apple store does for music downloads.

As you never get to see videos on MTV anymore, this might just be a good way of getting to see them for $2.

I do see one plus in this... It would be nice to be able to pay a reasonable amount of money to watch primetime tv OnDemand once in awhile, but not just on an iPod.

Trust me I hate Comcast too, OnDemand is it's only saving grace at the moment...

maybe not specifically the madonna video, but plenty of others...

What I don't understand is why Apple can't go all the way with something. They release nifty new software and a remote, but don't include DVR capabilities, Dual tuners and 7.1 audio Hardware with it.  With iTunes video one would think a full blown media center computer wouldn't be hard to get on the market place.  Here I'm eagerily awaiting for Shuttle to finally release the price, specs, etc for their latest MPC, M1000.  Had Apple annouced such a machine, a new Apple would be a serious consideration.

Apple has the reputation for quality hardware, if not pricey, also easy of use, an OS less likely to get viruses, etc, all of which would be good selling points for the less tech savvy looking to buy a media PC.  I know in the past Job's has poopooed the idea, but had Apple come out with HDTV recording capabilities now, they would have been well ahead of Micro$oft on that score.

Yeah, but that was a rumor posted before today's announcement. Do you have anyplace that suggests they still plan to release an 80gb model anytime soon? That would be the only way I could wait on picking one of these up.

No.

But I would guess it is inevitable.
