Mid-May shows
« on: May 07, 2004, 06:25:00 pm »
Similar to that faced in mid-April, it's an onslaught of shows.  Luckily I've spent nearly two weeks away from any music venues, so I should be well rested.

I think I'm skipping Clinic, Destroyer, Mission of Burma and Neko Case due to conflicts...the MUST SEEs are Metric, Sloan, Bigger Lovers and WSC/Carlsonics.

What are you going to?  Am I missing something I shuoldn't miss?

 - Clinic, BC (Sun, 5/9)
 - Cosmic Rough Riders, Iota (Mon, 5/10)
 - Destroyer, Iota (Tues, 5/11)
 - The Stills, Metric & Sea Ray, late show 9:30 (Wed, 5/12)
 - Sloan, BC (Thurs, 5/13)
 - Bigger Lovers, DC9, (Fri, 5/14)
 - Mission of Burma w/ Fiery Furnaces, (Sat, 5/15)
 - 50 Foot Wave, Iota (Sun, 5/16)
 - Neko Case, BC (Mon, 5/17)
 - Zero 7, (Wed, 5/19)
 - WSC and Carlsonics, BC (Fri, 5/21)

Ummmm!!! I didn't notice clutch on your list of ahows to see, is this because it is a given that you're alredy going to this show or is it beacuse you really do enjoy mediocre, whiny, shoe-gazer shows? haha, kidding, have fun

Yay to all of you coming to BigYawn night. And for those of you planning on going to Q and Not U, the Bigger Lover should be done by 1030 or 11, so you will still have time to wander over to the Cat to catch them.

Personally, I never know my schedule, but obviously i'll be at the Yawn party. And also at the WSC show. We actually have an interview coming up with the Hold Steady. and I may also end up at the 50 Foot wave show. You guys should check out The Standard, really cool band.
