Well, that was a night of good clean fun. I felt bad having more than eight beers!
Mastodon - Blood and Thunder
Forward Russia - Twelve
Misfits - Devil's Whorehouse
Koufax - Stephen James
Limbeck - People Don't Change
Anberlin - Time & Confusion
Living End - Staring at the Light
Green Day - One of My Lies
Atom And His Package - Punk Rock Academy
Swingin Utters - Next In Line
Prince - Kiss
Against Me! - Don't Lose Touch
Loved Ones - Jane
-----------------
A Wilhelm Scream - Me V. Morrissey in the Pretentous Contest
Strike Anywhere - Blaze
Rancid - Salvation
Alkaline Trio - Stupid Kid
Plan A Project - Here We Go Again
Jurrassic 5 - Quality Control
------------------
We then had the most misogynistic set I've ever seen in punk rock from Whole Wheat Bread (sorry, I never saw GG Allin). Seriously gentlemen, I appreciate the urban black voice in an otherwise white suburban scene, but we'd all appreciate it if you left the bitch-bashing in Jacksonville. I hope the ladies in the audience didn't get put off, cause rock n roll is really good for the soul.
------------------
Bikini Kill - Rebel Girl
(then a CD that Streetlight Manifesto brought. Forgot to write down who it was...)
-----------------
Operation Ivy - Take Warning
Mustard Plug - Never Be
Less than Jake - Look What Happened (the last time!)
Pietasters - Out All Night
Goldfinger - 99 Red Balloons
Ordinary Boys - Little Bitch
Slackers - Married Girl
------------------
Some stuff MXPX wanted to hear... totally forgot to write that down too... gotta keep it real professional here.
After the show, the lucky people who hung around the backbar were treated to some rousing impromptu Journey karaoke from the bands. suReel Big night...
Love,
R.O.K.A.
