BRMC poster
« on: August 12, 2005, 12:19:00 pm »
Here is an early look, still need to add a few things before printing.  I've missed these guys twice, hurricane and brutal snowstorm, hopefully this time Mother Nature will let me go...

 I'm 100 of these screen printed, 17"x24"

I saw them twice, but both were supporting the first LP. They were really good then, but much like yourself, I don't care for the second cd so I can't attest to what they're like now.

They should be supporting their new album 'Howl'

It should be a lot acoustic stuff, I'm thinking it maybe a pretty laid back show, but hopefully they'll rock out with some stuff from the first two albums.

great poster, just wonder about putting black feathers past the end of the writing on the right to go out to the edge of the red feathers.  Make the writing look like part of the bird.

I should have some after the show, so no one should worry.

Will there be any t-shirts for sale with this design on it?

 I love it!

Tentatively I am planning on being at this show.  I've never seen Black Rebel Motorcycle Club live before and feel like now is the time!  I am particularly excited that Mark Gardener of Ride is involved.

 Cheers

Somebody has a little too much time on their hands.  But yeah... it is nice.

just wondering...

has the poster been commissioned by the band or venue?

or are you just being ambitious?

I've talked with artists @ poster shows before & it seems that those are the 2 options for getting your work out there...with the best being paid in advance by band/venue & then keeping the rest of the art to sell.

 Nice job either way.
That would be the perfect career for me...making sweet posters - doing it anywhere you want - being involved with bands you love.
