Black Cat policy
« on: August 12, 2005, 10:20:00 pm »
On their website, it says...

"Our shows are all ages. 18+ is fine, but no one under the age of 21 may consume alcohol. If the person is under 18 they must have parental permission and we like them to be accompanied by an adult. "

How strict are they on this?  I'm 17, but I want to ask before I actually make a two hour drive to the club...

I have seen plenty of under age kids go in without an adult. But there is no guarantee they wont get pissy on any particular night. You should be fine.

If they don't let you in, just grab an adult to go in with you. You dont have to pay for the show to get into the place/go to the red room bar.

Go to the club, go in, act like you are supposed to be there.  Enjoy yourself.  If they say you have to leave just be cool and do so.  Respect the club and they will respect you.  Damn am I starting to sound like my dad or what?

Having to bring a note from one's parents must really cut back on the sense of exhilaration and freedom I recall from my own underage club-going experiences....

just show up wearing lisa lobo glasses, with your hair up in pig tales and they'll give you a vip pass, plus all the hot dogs and vegen nachos you can eat.

and if your a guy, just wear a superchunk shirt and buddy holly glasses, and you'll be a-ok by all, including the source of this accordion scraped noise:  "black cat, black cat . . . spare a little change for the homeless?"
