Does anyone else find it ironic that emo bands play a charity gig for suicide prevention?

Wow, just when you think you're doing pretty well and are fairly knowledgeable.  I don't know one of those bands.

"Poison the Well, Dilligner Escape Plan, Further Seems Forever and others are among the acts who grace the bill of the fourth-annual Take Action Tour, which kicks off in September.

Other artists confirmed for the outing include Avenged Sevenfold, Shadows Fall, Death by Stereo, Eighteen Visions, Shai Hulud, This Day Forward, Since by Man and Black Cross. More acts will be added, according to organizers."

Dillinger is like super crazy awesome jazz metal... not typical if you have a keen ear for listening to well crafted music. Further Seems Forever used to be fronted by Chris Carrabba of Dashboard Confessional, and were much better sounding then. However, they're still popular and have a lot of 'emo' (and all those kinds of words) fans. Poison the Well are trying too hard to be Refused, and their older material is much better than their first major label debut. Miami hardcore goodtimes.

I find the term emo the most useless to come along when describing a band's sound.  So far it seems to tell me almost nothing about what the band will sound like.  And that's what I'm hooked by.

If I was emo, I'd kill myself.

Emo is when this listener says "Fuck you, you suck!"

Speaking of light bulbs, I just blew out one a minute ago.

It will only take one Jag to replace it.   ;)

Yes, Dillinger is incredible...spastic free jazz/grindcore.  I highly recommend to both Mank and Rhett.
