not really hard to believe given all the 80's/synthpop dance parties around town.... is that the review for all new covers cd? i shudder to think how bad it is now.

based on the soundclips of the covers cd, i'd say one star was being generous... seems vince clarke is totally stuck in the 80's soundwise and andy bell's vocal style dosen't suit any of the songs. the buddy holly covers are really embarassing.

<P>Ah Imrotten, you love stating the obvious dont you?<P>As for you Kosmo, I agree, one star was more than generous. If this was ten years ago and abbaesque was just out I would have been eager to go. Its all looking a bit sad and tired now though, isnt it?

To quote AMG on the new album:<P>"Finally, just because you're able to insert a cricket sound every time the word "sleeping" occurs on "Goodnight" doesn't necessarily mean it's a good idea."<P>Well said.
