Hmmm, and meanwhile last week a friend of mine was booted out of the club, apparently quite aggressively and rudely, for letting her 33-year old friend have a sip of her beer (33-year old friend had left I.D. at home).  Literally, a sip.  When the staff person took them out and answered their story with a "out you go, you're breaking the law, you know," they replied with, "Actually no, we're not."
 
 Alas, I have sympathy for both sides (and I've never seen BC staff be rude).  But it burns my craw to hear about obnoxious folks getting away with it...

No.  Being involved and being informed are good things, regardless of one's political views.  So if bands want to promote those things -- more power to them.
 
 I would also argue that the vast vast majority of those of us on the right are completely tolerant, despite how we may be portrayed these days.
 
 The trite and empty sloganeering is sometimes annoying.  Like Emily from Metric saying "Things really suck.  We really need to do something."  Could she have been any more ambiguous?
 
 But Q and Not U are always active in some specific cause (often local) and voter registrations are great.
 
 Finally, if I only went to see conservative indie-rockers, I wouldn't get out very often.  I'd have to wait until Travis Morrison did a solo tour or a D-Plan reunion.
