Kids aren't going to be as eloquent as a lawyer, and I do feel for them, but saying things like Spanish music sucks ass is just ignorant.

threats are always good:

4265. Cristina Lugo if you're really against illegal downloading of MP3s you should bring back the station.

this person wrote the new Linkin Park song:

4252. timi fadden EL ZOL and Infinity can suck my dick because now that HFS is gone that means HFStival is gone which means i have no way of excaping the pain i go through every year in school so thank you El Zol im going to kill myself now thanks for murdering a helpless teen

 and then, the unexplainable

3950. Chris Gallup block my last name out if possible

Should read
 To: "The Man"

We, the 15 year old people of Rockville, Maryland, believe the change of 99.1 HFS, the greatest Linkin Park-centric Rock station in Maryland to 99.1 EL Zol, Siempre De Feista, meaning "always of celebration" (I learned that in Spanish 2 last week) playing spanish music.  They can't even get the station in Spain, what gives?!?!?! HFS has provided the adolecent community with sounds and inane chatter regarding Slipknot, the well know "HFSestival-themed High School Drunkfest", and many other gatherings. Many people are disapointed about the change, and were surprised the station was still around since everyone stopped listening when they started playing 'Jane Says' on heavy rotation.  The white people of Maryland believe a Spanish station will not do well in this area aside from every restaurant kitchen. We would like the owners of the station, please, revise your decision as soon as possible.

 Sincerely,

 The Undersigned Morons

oh, and it's not "always of celebrating"...it's "always celebrating". But don't listen to me, I'm not Mexican so hence I don't speak spanish...guess I speak Quisqueyan or some other dialect..

whoever wrote that petition did a pretty poor job wording it.

"We, the people of Maryland, believe the change of 99.1 HFS, the greatest alternative Rock station in Maryland to 99.1 EL Zol, Siempre De Feista, meaning "always of celebration" playing spanish music."

he didn't even finish that sentence.

Speaking seriously for a second.

did Infinity perhaps just increase racial tension in the Baltimore/DC area by taking a large part of a lot of people's lives and giving it to a minority without warning?

Only among 15 year olds.  The remiander understand that if you're ranked in the bottom 25% of the market share, you are the minority.

The without warning part is common practice in radio turnover.

of course there's a market for another spanish station, half of my neighbors are from el salvador.  i rarely listen to the radio so i'm happy the hispanic/latino crowd is getting a station.  besides, merengue is fun.  i like me some elvis crespo every now and then.
