I couldn't agree more with TheDirector217 regarding Lucious Jackson. Fever In, Fever Out is a big favorite of mine as well. Luscious Jackson in November 1996 was the very first show I ever saw at the 9:30 Club. Saw them a  couple times, and they always put on a good, fun show.

Put me down for Elastica and first-album Veruca Salt, too.

And, as long as we're getting nostalgic for '90s female-fronted bands, I'd like to nominate Belly. Star is one of my all-time favorite albums, and King wasn't bad either. Tanya Donnelly has put out a bunch of solo albums, but none of them rock like Belly.

I'm going to forward the thread to Paul at Goldenvoice, it'll keep him busy until Coachella 2027....and hopefully help him forget about Stage Coach

ATDI for sure!!!

 Rival Schools (best band ever)

Shudder to Think (cough cough, DAM! Festival 2008, cough cough)

I had this streak of absolutely completely falling in love with a band or artist, and then they broke up or died almost immediately. See all above plus Concrete Blond, Elliott Smith etc...

When did they break up? I saw 'em at 9:30 just two or three years ago and haven't heard that since then. Likewise, I didn't think Fugazi ever "broke up." I thought they were on hiatus, like Le Tigre.

Personally I'd like to see The Stone Roses and Naked City. Those reunions might actually be good.

Casting a vote for Catherine Wheel and Ned's Atomic Dustbin.  I guess CW is "in park" as they stated on their website, so they actually didn't break up.

neds atomic dustbin broke up? funny as theyre doing shows in the UK right now. you might need to sign up for their mailing list as i think youre a bit behind on ned's news.

This year Neds have seen a mini-revival take them back into the limelight with a triumphant headline set on the Leftfield Stage at Glastonbury, heralded by Q Magazine's Glastonbury Daily as 'highlight of the day'. This, following Sony/BMG's decision to release a new compilation of the band's best work from the years they were distributed by the biggest label in the world, has brought a whole new generation of Neds fans along for the ride.

A new documentary/live DVD called Ned's Atomic Dustbin: Don't Exist is available online now from www.twelve42.com

 Neds play:

Wolverhampton Wulfrun Hall | Friday December 21st 2007
Tickets: £15.00 now available from Midland Box Office:
