as much as i like pink floyd, i'm not sure how interesting a reunion show (at least of the 68-81 lineup) would be, especially considering the ticket prices that would be charge. however if they didn't play any post-81 floyd or any dave/roger solo material, that'd be at least one thing going for it.
i'm not interested in an SP reunion. after seeing shows in asheville and the show in DC, i could care less if i ever see them again and i'm certainly not going to pay for it.
a soundgarden reunion would be cool, but they'd definitely have to pretend that that last album never came out... and maybe superunknown too...
godspeed haven't really... 'broken up'. they're just not doing anything right now. i wouldn't say for sure that htey are done for good, however i do have to say that i'm glad that i caught 7 shows on that last tour.
i saw floyd in 94 @ RFK, and was kinda upset that half of their set was from 80s/90s material (division bell, momentary lapse of reason, etc.) however, that was the division bell tour. if roger and david could settle their differences, and do a tour only (NOT interested in hearing a new album from them) then it would have the potential to be amazing. you know roger would have nothing to do with the david solo stuff or post-wall floyd, which would leave us with all the classic material. if they did three sets, playing DSoTM, Wish You Were Here, Animals, in their entirety, it would be legendary. Although i'd personally replace DSoTM with Meddle. but thats just me.
regarding godspeed, yeah i know they're on "hiatus" and not officially broken up, but they've been MIA for 4 years now, so I'd call them doing a new album or tour a "reunion" of sorts..
