Well I don't have any original thoughts on anything, because I went on the Lost message board this morning.

Maybe Jack was delusional regarding his father because of the drugs?

Welcome to the geek club. I went to bed last night at 11:15, but didn't fall asleep until 1, because I was thinking about it. Or maybe the four pieces of pizza and coke sitting in my stomach kept me away. And my wife woke up for 40 minutes in the morning hours thinking about it. Or maybe it was the baby.

One far flung idea that I read was that they came back in time BEFORE the crash. Sort of a time travel thing. Would explain Jack's dark beard, but wouldn't explain him having a lifetime pass. Sounds farfetched to me.

That, coupled with the fact that Jack said he's sick of all the lies when talking with Kate have me thinking all types of conspiracy theories.  What if, thanks to this "magical box" that can grant you anything you want, all of the survivors have their lives turned back the way they want?  Maybe they're rescued, but have to keep all of the secrets of the island and everything that happened to themselves.

Might make sense that Kate doesn't seem to be on the run any longer.  And maybe that's what unhinges Jack; as a man of science, having that burden of knowing something but not being able to even open up about it sets him over the edge?

By the way, not only am I horribly addicted to Lost, I spent an hour after the show and my entire hour run this morning thinking the entire thing over.  I am a geek.

Surprisingly, I stay away from the message boards.  As geeky as I am, I'm a staunch believer in no spoilers.  Granted, I will check out links to see freeze-frame images and things like the obit that brennser posted, but otherwise I steer clear.

Also, I'm 100% back in after that episode.  Boy howdy, that got me hooked.

Well, I'm back in as well after I yelled "WTF!" when Naomi fell over due to the pain-in-the-ass, Locke.
-I figured Kate needed to get back to Sawyer (very Dawson's Creek triangle if you ask me).
-Jack's beard I assumed was a bad job by the make-up team...He's a hairy dude and wouldn't take too long to grow an actual one. I don't think I'm gonna analyze this one for now.
-I couldn't guess who is in the casket...Locke is an interesting guess...That obit is weird.
-Walt is as freaky as Ben is evil.
-The shared bond b/w Danielle and her daughter was funny. I also laughed out loud when she put the smack down on Ben, who was tied to the tree. She went back to listening as if she had merely swatted a fly.

Sucks about Veronica Mars...I'm pretty much done watching 24, which is too bad. It's become too graphic/violent with no storyline.

Mankie - What do you think about Heroes?
That's pretty much all I'll be watching next season considering the fare being offered.

(Oh, and my guilty pleasure I confessed to - Dancing W/ The Stars...Yea, Apollo won! Ahem. I can go back to "normal" now.)

Oh! Couple more things...If it's not Penny's boat could it be what's her name: Hurley's pseudo girlfriend, the blonde that was killed? She was a redhead in a cafe looking at picture of a boat - wasn't Penny/Desmond at the same cafe?
Sad about Charlie, yet he was annoying. (dragged out drowning too). I thought he was "bad" again when he whacked Desmond w/ the paddle. Locke irritates me too, but whatever.

So, why the hell did Charlie shut himself in that room rather than stepping outside of the door and then closing it???!!! Was he just trying to fulfill Desmond's vision? It makes not sense to me.  Unless I just don't understand how those doors work.

And is the name in the obit not Jeremy or Jonathan...but Jacob?

I thought maybe it could only be closed from the side he was on. So he shut it, knowing that if he didn't, Desmond would die as well. Plus the fulfilling the vision part.

Why didn't he just swim out the window that the water came through, after the room had filled up with water?

That's what I did as well.  And I'm glad...enjoyed the last few episodes of Lost.

I thought exactly the same thing.  In fact, I had thought it in reverse -- midway through I noticed Jack's island stubble with gray and thought, "clever of them to remember to make his beard and mustache brown in the flashbacks."

Is Lost better than Jericho?

If Jericho was an HBO series it would rival Deadwood.

- I was thinking it was Michaels's funeral because it was in the African American neighborhood/funeral home and because when Jack said to Kate that he thought she would have been there, her response wassomething like, why would i go to that?  Remember, when we last saw Mike, no one liked him becasue he killed Anna Lucia and Libby and got to leave the island.  I don't think Locke would leave the island (on his own) plus, he wasn't from New York, like the obit. said, but Mikey was.

-Did anyone else think it was odd that post island stay, Kate is no longer a fugitive?

-My favorite scene was when Sawyer killed Tom.  He truely wasn't trhough with ol' Zeke.

PS.  I don't know how I feel about having to wait 8 months for another new episodes.  The cliffhanger wasn't strong enough and Lost isn't the Sopranos.

I like how Locke is discredited because he's not from New York like the obituary said, but the fact that Michael's name isn't J________ _anaham like the obituary said seems to not register with anyone.

In my defense, I hadn't looked at the screen caps yet, and had no clue that's what the name on the obit read.  Not all of us are into spoilers, you know?
