I would love to see My Morning Jacket again, but I'm betting that slot is the 'Superjam' they have every year.

the TBD slot has finally been announced.
SUPERJAM will fill in the 12-3am timeslot on Friday:

"Former Led Zeppelin bass player JOHN PAUL JONES will anchor a trio featuring one of music's most innovative modern bluesmen, guitar wizard BEN HARPER, and Roots drummer AHMIR "?UESTLOVE" THOMPSON."

 Should be pretty interesting.

John Paul Jones was the special guest at Merlefest back in April or May, playing bluegrass with the Duhks.

?uestlove is going to be one busy drummer as he's also in the Philadelphia Experiment.... The record is  a good listen, but I prefer the Detroit Experiment record that was done in a similar vein of bring local musicians from varying backgrounds together to record.

He's attended for a few years now. He's pretty good on the mandolin.

hmmm derrick may, jack white, any remaining living funk brother, and don mayberry working together could result in something interesting.]

The Detroit Expriment record has a similiar cast of characters to Carl Craig's Innerzone Orchestra project, a mixture of jazz and electronica musicians.

Um, the Police are headlining at V-fest and Bonnaroo...Why would they play at 2:30?

Anyway, do want to see Manu Chao, but the Roots are awesome, so your feedback helps with that decision.  The comment about the heat is deadon.  I missed several of the bigger bands I wanted to see last year, like Elvis, hello?, bec. it was so freakin' hot, and I had to have a shower before I could drag my ass into the festival after dancing into the wee hours.

If you know of anyone who wants to share gas expenses, I'm looking for a passenger or someone else to ride with next week and could leave Wed. afternoon/eve.

 Thanks.
