I heard that the indie circles have re-christened Omaha as "Emoha."  Just say that word out loud and see how stupid you feel...

don't know much about the omaha scene... but it seems to me that detroit has a great farm system in place (hentchmen, gore gore girls, the paybacks, the go, etc.) and a sizeable contigent on the senior tour (iggy pop, wayne kramer, bob segar, romantics, and KISS)

Omaha?  Hahahahahaha.  If you had ever been to Omaha (especially if you had ever lived in Omaha), you would understand how laughable crowning Omaha as the throne of indie rock is.
