I forget, is there money involved in this league?  If not, I'm in but will have to be autodraft.

yeah its free.  so if we have a live draft, if someones not there, it autodrafts their pre-ranked players?  or does everyone have to do the same thing?

i think saves should be worth a small positive and goals allowed should be a small negative.

objections to this anyone???

no more than .5 or 1 point for a save. one year a save was 2 points, and Marc Denis of the Blue Jackets was getting 90 points a game from saves and players like Forsber and Naslund only getting 30 for goals and assists.

maybe saves work .25 points and a goal against worth -1 ???

i guess this is a more general question . .will shootout results apply to goalies' stats?

That's a good proportion. Go with that.

well, heres where Yahoo has been extremely vague.  it doesnt look like shootouts have even been thought of here.

now apparently, if the game is tied 2-2 at the end of regulation, the winner of the shootout wins 3-2, so i would assume goalies would only get 1 more goal allowed.  but who would get the goal?  not sure.

either way, this year will be a crapshoot with teams having to shuffle their fantasy roster once we see how this "new NHL" is being played.

Wait, I was under the impression we were still having a 5 minute overtime of 4 on 4 and then a shootout. Wrong?

sonick, all you have to do to tweak the stats is just enter the modifiers (.25/save, -1/GA) and see how last year's stats look, the ideal (i think) would be to have the goalie with the best stats in the league be kind of similar to the best scorer ... if the .25/save, -1/GAA is too much or too little, just make a change ... make sense?

yes, sorry.  after the overtime.

the point it, if they have each team shoot 5 shots in the shootout or something, if a team wins the shootout 4-2 or something, a 2-2 would be won 3-2, not 6-4.

  dig it?
