The Citypaper lead story this week sucks

    I didn't actually read the article (I get the City Paper for the pictures) What is this persons beef? They hired you. They are paying you for you. You do what they ask. You appreciate the fact that there are many, many people in the world who are less fortunate than you who have to work much shittier jobs, work jobs with much less pay, or who can't get a job at all. You give (hopefully only) 40 hours of your life a week to this employer. The other 128 hours a week are yours to DO WHATEVER THE FUCK YOU WANT! Seems like a good deal to me.

I skimmed the article and it sounds like his office is especially egregious. Sorta like a bad outtake from The Office. But still....get over it. No one's chaining him to the desk and I think his over-the-top company is an anomaly.

sounds like his main beef is having to stay at the office until 8 every monday to have 'team building' activities

Like I said, I didn't really read the article. Was only commenting on the little headline thingy. I'm glad I have my government job, which will allow me to plan my work around my life, to some degree. No doubt that will come in especially handy once we start a family.
