 Isnt that unnecessarily verbose?

LOL! You know, when I looked at the list, I too thought something along the lines of...

...these damned lists are nothing but guidelines for the stations, publications, etc. and their listeners. Music lists for the clueless who need some guidance. In some cases, they are lists for corporations required to present and stick to some format.

I too am sick of seeing Nirvana at the very top of these lists. Maybe it has more to do with the fact that I was never much of a Nirvana fan in the first place. They were okay and I enjoyed them but they were way down, closer to 100, on my list which would include a lot of music often never on anyone's list.

That would be great. How would you advertise that?

Top 100 ignored rock greats

Well starting in reverse, reverse order #1, a clear winner is

The only ones, another girl another planet

Somewhere is Birthday by the sugarcubes

 and

Shipbuilding by Robert Wyatt, written by Elvis Costello.

those three never seem to appear on American lists.... The second two oft appear on NME lists though, along with the cocteau twins first single.

Right now Cinerama: health and efficiency is one of the greatest songs I have ever heard. I cannot recommend that show highly enough.

inside it gives special thanks to Jim and William Reid.... I had never payed attention to that being the marychain before, cheers Bungle.

And GGW I already made a concession that the last two songs were not that obscure..... The first one appears to be annd it is a fantastic song.....

Back (way back) in the day, when HFS was a good radio station, Another Girl used to get a fair amount of spins.

Weasel is on 94.7 now.  Perhaps you could request it.
