Miller Chill
« on: September 05, 2007, 07:31:00 pm »
Alright, allow me to drop some knowledge on you all.  I'm a High Life man. Without question, the greatest Miller product on the planet.  Check that - perhaps the greatest product on the planet.

So last night I'm in LA for my fantasy football draft.  It's hot.  Not the 95 degrees it was the night before, but it was hot - especially for this SF guy. I reach into my brother-in-law, Bob's fridge, grab for the High Life that I left in there from my last visit to LA a couple weeks earlier with Venerable, and it's blocked by a large collection of Miller Chill.

Seriously, Tequiza failed the first time. So I look to bust on the guy who brought it.  Turns out it was brought by my favorite sports radio guy, Matt "Money" Smith, and apparently, I was a day late on this one.  3 hours earlier, he was on the air defending his choice.  It's worth a listen:

 Check out minutes 11:50-19:20
Matt "Money" Smith on Miller Chill

No joke.  It's good.  And it pains me to say this: It's fucking good.  So three hours of dudes making bye-week jokes doing a fantasy football draft downing Miller Chills in the LA evening heat.  Sounds gay, and it probably was, but life was good.  You've got a limited time on this one with the much needed heat, so go out and get some for your friends.  And you can thank me later. No, you can thank Money for comfortable enough with his manhood to buy some Miller Chill.  I put him in the Pink division wtih me in the League.

haha, miller high life - the champaign of beers. that stuff was cool when i was in high school since it was like 5 bucks for a case. that, and milwaukee's best aka "the beast." wont touch that shit now, but the memories of drinking that warm piss water will stay with me forever.

isn't miller chill just miller's attempt at re-creating the corona?

personally, i usually stick to the imports. stella, heineken. or red stripe, for the most part.

Red Stripe is Jamaica's Pabst Blue Ribbon.

Pass me a Newkie Brown, please.

(True Confession time: I use to occassionaly drink Miller High Life when I was in the mood for a beer.)

I  love the Miller High Life commercial where the big delivery guy walks into the fancy-schmancy restaurant, looks at the menu, gasps "Eleven dollars for a hamburger, y'all must be crazy," and then he & his crew take all the High Life out of the restaurant.  That's great.

I went to a July 4th shindig where they had Miller Chill.  I think everyone tried one bottle, and nobody went for a second.  To each their own, but if I want the taste of lime in my beer, I'll shove some lime in my beer.

I was raised on high life.  Definitely my favorite of the cheep beers.

I think that Chill isn't bad, but after 1/2 of one, I find it too sweet.

High Life rules!  And you can throw a lime in and pretend you're drinking a Corona for a much cheaper price - if you're into that sorta thing.  Chill - eh.  I won't be sad when it goes away.

They still sell Tequiza. Or, it's still on shelves.

They still sold Bud Dry up until 2000 or so. They may still sell it, but that's the last time I saw it.

Got a Chimay the other day over at Uncle Dave's Bistro near Olney.  Can't beat $8.50 for a 12 oz. draft.

those who drink at bars or restaurants have no reason to bitch at the price.  those places make 50 to 75% of their revenue of off soda and alcohol.  go to world market.  you can get tall bottles (32 ounces) of duvel and chimay for $7.00 each.
