My friends and I went to the gig. It was a lot of fun. Though it wasn't vnv nation or depeche mode, it was fun electronic music. I wasn't sure what to expect because AFI haven't been all that great as of lately. Needless to say, I walked out of the club Saturday night in with a pretty big smile. I didn't even like their album much and now I do. Strange how a good performance can change things.
As for what sucked that night...I thought the opening dj could've been better. He only played like a few really awesome songs (ie- new order, joy division, css are the few bands that he played that I knew and liked) and that was it. He seemed to play a lot of obscure stuff. The only other thing that put a damper on the evening was those stupid teenage girls who kept screaming in the middle of songs and ruined the electronic breakdowns in the music. Aside from that, the night was pretty good.
