I remember the first couple of HFStivals were great.  Violent Femmes, They Might Be Giants, Inxs, Stereo MCs, Rollins Band etc.

I remember paying $5 to go to the fests in VA.  Gang of 4, La's, Robyn Hitchcock (who was just walking around lake Fairfax during the show), King Missile, and many others.

yeah! I went to one before i even lived in America!!  it was the one with INXS, Iggy Pop and the Posies.
