I disagree.  As a moderator, if econo ain't happy, then none of us are happy.  The more tang he pulls, the smoother the board operates and the happier we all are.  That way, newbs will think we're one big family.

I know I'll upset some people with this opinion but I agree that being over about 21 and on MySpace is not just creepy but sort of....not pathetic...not really desperate...just kind of pointless.  
 
 I don't want to get off on a rant here but everyday I wake up and say to myself "I'm not doing anything today that I had to do in high school."  And isn't MySpace just one big slam book?  "You're my friend!  You're NOT my friend!  What's your favorite color?  What kind of music do you like?  Enter all this information and it will tell you what your theme song should be!  What kind of dog you are!  What kind of food you are!  You CAN sit at our cafeteria table at lunch.  You can NOT!  I can sign your guest(slam) book and relate 8 million inside jokes!

i take it you had a really shitty teenage experience - because it seems to have left you with the impression that the only thing people do when they get together is point fingers and exclude.  maybe this is your experience, but certainly not mine.  i've had all sorts of old acquaintances track me down through myspace, people i never would have heard from otherwise - and am grateful for that fact.
 
 BTW, not doing something for the simple fact that you did it in high school is a silly one-size-fits-all filter.  we all did a lot of stupid things, and hopefully also a lot of good things (volunteering, sports, music, family time, partying, etc).  were you forced to participate in "slam books"?

i think myspace can be used for many different purposes, some lame, some not so lame.
 
  some people like the surveys and crap.  some people like to listen to music on it.  some people like to see thier friends from other states/countries.

 The decorum of people's pages do make me think of what may have been the the inside of a person's high school locker.
 Oh, and I've never caught up with anyone from the past via MySpace. (A few cousins, and current friends, sure.) So, I don't know what that says about me, or them.
