Face to Face
« on: August 18, 2004, 10:32:00 am »
Did anyone go to this last night? I thought it was an absolutely phenomenal show, a great way for them to go out. I always enjoyed them live, but somehow their fans always make the show better. And I haven't seen that much bodysurfing at a show in a long time. I have to admit I was a little sad that it was their last DC gig, but I'm glad that they did this farewell tour thing. They're a great band and they'll be missed.

I went last night and agree it was a great show. I'm glad they had this tour because when I last saw them at the warped tour, the crowd sucked. I needed this one last show with the fans.

The place wasn't as packed as previous venues, so the pit was able to open up much bigger than I usually see. Great energy. Muchas Gracias again for whoever gave me a pick-up in the pit during the encore.

Farewell Face to Face, you will be missed.

I am always amazed at what great crowds Face to Face gets. Audience participation really makes the show. It was cool how Trever and Scott got down in the crowd afterwards to thank everyone too. Almost every time I've seen Face to Face was at 815 V Street...first time I saw them there it was WUST and they were opening for the Bosstones. There was no barricade set up, so at any given moment there were about 3 people flying off the stage. It was insane, but still tame compared to my Minor Threat DVD when they're playing at Buff Hall.
