Junior Senior/ Electric 6 Bal-town Show
« on: October 28, 2003, 02:45:00 pm »
I won free tix to this from the ottobar.  but i never heard of either of 'em.  i can't listen to stuff off the net here at work, so anyone got something to say about em? (who they're like, etc.)  both websites seem cool, but a little on the cusp of that "i'm just over it" scandinavian thing.....or am i being a snob?

Junior Senior is a gay/straight duo from sweeden that play catchy songs that go from disco, to '60s rock to pop.  All of it great.

Electric Six are kinda like Andrew WK if he wasn't serious at all.  Silly rock songs with a bit of a disco thing.  Their last single was called Gay Bar (Key line: "Girl!  I wanna take you to a gay bar!").

Basically it's gonna be the least serious show you'll see all year, but in a good way.

I'll be at the Black Cat show tomorrow night.  Both bands are a lot of fun...good to dance to, as you've got both new wave rock and roll (E6) and indie disco (Junior Senior).
