Question about the Warfield in San Francisco
« on: August 20, 2003, 02:07:00 pm »
Does anyone know anything about the Warfield? I'm going to be in San Francisco over Columbus Day and it just so happens that Queens of the Stone Age will be playing there!  Is it general admission?  I've heard good things about it as a venue, but I'm curious to know how big it is. Any help would be appreciated!!

i didn't much care for the warfield. . .reminds me of an old movie theatre with 3 levels. . .sort of like the troc in philly, except 3 levels, going straight up.  give me the fillmore or great american music hall any day of the week.  the show i saw there was all general admission, so some shows must have seats, i guess.

Bunnyman, I'll let you know.  I'm heading to the Warfield next Wednesday to see the Sex Pistols show.  And yes, it's GA.

Hello to everyone from beautiful sunny and surprisingly warm San Francisco, by the way.

It was long and delayed (my grandmother died while we were in LA so we stayed a bit longer then we had planned), but we're in now and exploring our new surroundings. So far it's a great city.  We're in Inner Sunset about a mile and half from the beach (back where I belong if you ask me).

sorry about your grandmother......

I cant quite imagine you hanging out with the hippies in Haight.  " Dude, you're far too up".

SF seems like a great place to live. Go and visit amoeba and the saloon for. Give my regards to your more attractive half.

Funny you should mention that.  I'm going to Amoeba after the United match this afternoon and I really hate all the stinky hippies in this place.  There's a ton of them.

I walked past the saloon last week and the homeless guy was in the corner talking to the tall skinny bartender at like 2:30 in the afternoon.  Things have not changed since you were here last.

Ahh thanks Vansmack, that just but a huge grin on my face. Which was required as I just heard my mum say fuck for the first time. My whole world almost caved in.

The bartender that looks like Thirsty in 20 years?
