MTV2, MTV2!!

There are NO videos on MTV as far as I can tell.  But MTV2 is alright -- they were amazing 5, 6 years ago, and now are just alright.  They carry Headbangers Ball as well now.

Yup, Ok Go.  I like the indie pop Also like the Get Up Kids, an "emo" band, whatever the hell that is, but am still a fan of Superchunk.

Or as I call it.....Anything But Music TV!

Both MTV and MTV2 remind me that I'm missing absolutely nothing by not having cable tv.

MTV2 is alright, but its getting worse. 120 minutes is a fine way of seeing new music.

Soundtrack of our Lives, Hot Hot Heat, Arlo, Ok Go have all been the topic of conversation on the board. All played in the last 12 months.

I wish I had seen Soundtrack and not Okgo. . Arlo had a fight in front of us and hot hot heat are way too camp on stage.

m2 used to good before they started carrying loads of ads.... their month long a to z countdown of every video ever played on mtv/m2 was very amusing to watch.  i checkout vh1 classic if there is absolutely nothing else worth watching on tv.

You are missing MHz which is pretty entertaining. In the last week I saw a performance by "The Clarks" and "The Planets" and a little while ago "The Young Dubliners" all at some small place in N VA. They also have European detective shows dubbed in yanklish. Not to mention the news programs from all over the world. Then there's the sports from all over the world, even Scottish footie, but nobody's perfect!   ;)

my favorite magazine for new music coverage is cmj new music report... the reviews are usually spot on, especially the RIYL (recommend if you like) comparisions.  the cd's been a bit dodgy of late.

What station is that? I probably couldn't get it up here anyway. Our local cable doesn't offer some of the better obscure, independent or international stations. For instance, we can't get the Independent Film Channel or any of the BBCs. It's just not worth it for the little they offer (most just being bad programming by the networks themselves) and all the money they charge. It's either cable tv or cable internet.....and you know which one I use to it's fullest.

Comcast in Montgomery county has it on channel 98...they also have MHz2 which is 96 but that flips between some shopping network and programming.

Screwed again! That station is not available in the Baltimore area, with or without cable.
