You wrote “This is the beginning of the end for indoor shows.”

I didn’t understand you meant “Rocktober”
H
It’s all in the air though

But a Tuesday night show for Clem Snide out in the boonies isn’t much of a good barometer

I agree, snide is no barometer.
Let's see how fast Finneas sells out his November 930clarb show.
Hey, don’t talk about the Clarb in front of non-mermbers.

If concerts are banned again I think things will have to be so bad that lack of concerts will be the least of our problems…

i thought we agreed that "clarb" needs an "s" since there are 930 of them.

reminder1: i'm on the west coast.  i'll let you do the math.

reminder2:
and what is a Clarb?

not sure, but they're still better than the Clash.

also: if you have 930 of them, shouldn't there be an "s" at the end of "Clarb"?  or is it indivisible?  a collective?

yes!

Oh, gotcha. Forgot the werst coast thing. When I said "Yes!" I meant if that if one has 930 of them, it would be plural, or I meant when you presented 3 separate questions, by answering "Yes" to all of them, I would leave this in confusion. We only have 1 clarb though. the 930clarb.

Had a great time at the James Taylor, Jackson Browne show.

I had last seen JB in 1978 at Tanglewood in Massachusetts. Last night, I thought he sounded great. Strong voice, and talented band.

Gave up my front row Jackson Browne tix at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center in 1977 to my then girlfriend and her sister as an opportunity arose to go to Israel after high school.  Never had the chance to see him again till last Tuesday.  He and his band DID sound great.  As the closing notes to Doctor My Eyes faded away, I turned to my wife and half jokingly  said "OK, we can leave now."  They nailed that song- one of my favorites.

James Taylor set was predictably schmaltzy but sweet (though the Mexico was a mess).

Sorry, I missed you Challenged.

Phish Night One in Hershey...

Where to begin, a sensory explosion to say the least. Somewhat overwhelming the entire experience, not exactly a comfortable situation (I'm starting to fear big events will never feel comfortable).

I'd say 20% of the crowd was masked.... We had nearly 15 in our group, all vaxxed, all masked. I actually couldn't imagine not wearing a mask in the crowd. Only about 70% sold, so a ton of room for a GA show which did help.

Music left a lot to be desired (insert all of your phish hate here). Great 1st set, clunker of a second.... Maybe everyone was too hot and exhausted.

Carry on!

...did you sell some t shirts?

Went to a number of SPAC shows in the 80's. Then later a Neil Young/Lucinda show in the early 2000s. Good times! Could you possibly be older than me?

Next up: Wilco.

If you haven't checked out the dressing room mini concert during last night's KC rainout you should.  On Wilco's IG.

Yes, happened upon that in real time last night. Very cool of them to do.
