as has been posted already, a truck carrying gear integral to the show arrived well after gates, actually right as the show was about to be cancelled.   in order to get everything set up and ready, kasabian's set had to be dropped.

In that case, did they still get paid and get the night off?

What if like Ozzfest they paid to play, would they get a rebate?

word on the kasabian board is that the truck with oasis gear was "stolen" and only to be recovered at the last minute... somehow this seems a bit far fetched..

Oasis has their moments, but let's be honest here, their music is at its core prefab classic rock.  Not that there's anything wrong with that, mind you.

The show was fantastic, Kasabian aside. People who are acting like Liam was off are nuts, and people who act like they didn't enjoy it are just pathetic.

I went to the show in Philly over the summer and must say they played more songs. The set list was short and the same can be said of the Coldplay show last night. I'm a huge Oasis fan and loved all the albums. The show was great and I was suprised how many peolpe were there. I do have to say the BRMC show on Wed. night was best of the three that I went to (BRMC, Oasis, Coldplay)

Oasis is and will always be a mainstay in rock music. They may not kiss everyones ass like Coldplay, but they fuckin rock.
