I must've missed that.

I was in front of the stacks at stage left.  About 10-12 feet back.  Near where the giant red-shirted, black-hatted cowboy was standing for the latter part of the show. [/b]
I was right beside you then. Behaving badly for the last third of the show. Anyone else think that the floor got VERY slippery?     :D    Must have been all that beer getting tossed about. It's not a good thing when your behavior appears to scare a member of the Drive-by Truckers - I think I nearly pulled the Drummer (EZB) off the stage after the last encore.    <img src="http://www.drivebytruckers.com/images/askezb2.jpg" alt=" - " />

And then I gave thatguy a little hug on the way out - he humored me.

The flaming hair girl - she asked my friend for a light & he obliged while hardly paying attention. He lit her hair instead. They had to pat her out. She stayed near him though. He bought her a drink & she enjoyed the rest of the show. Maybe he'll get a girlfriend of it. Just imagine telling your kids that story of how you met.

I'm not sure that Franz Ferdinand and Drive By Truckers are at all comparable, other than both receive too much hype.

My wife also commented at the show that she thought you (Guiny) would like the Truckers.

Anyone at the show think they were country?!?!? [/b]
I'll start with Franz Ferdinand, I've heard so much talk in here, I bought the cd the other day and will give it a shot. If I like it then maybe I'll take your advice on DBT. [/QB]

There were college aged guys right in front & behind me. Mixed in amongst all the other diverse demographics. Rowdy but nice anough. One of them kept knocking into me & when he turned around his eyes were closed. I think he was barely concious. Still singing though.

I saw that guy singing along to "Outfit"--it was precious.

The reason I said Franz is because everytime a band is hyped in here, I go buy the cd's sometimes and come away disappointed. Thats why I was comparing Franz and DBT, not that they sound the same, but because they were recommended by boardies. I actually saw the cd at best buy and came inches away from buying it. Now that three boardies suggested I might like it, I'll put it on my list. Now.....Back to the new Megadeth cd.

Hey Grotty, What's the story with the song "Nine Bullets"? I saw that it's an old song, and Isbell sang it live. Who sings it on record?

It is an old song. On Pizza Deliverance. It's a Patterson Hood song (written & sung). It's always been a crowd favorite - so I think that little change was in reality pretty controversial. I know a few of my friends were VERY disappointed.

It's just another example of the new kid taking over the world.
